A disk that looks dead sometimes only has a corrupted partition table — recoverable in an hour. Conversely, a clicking drive needs a clean-room lab (very expensive). I always start with a free diagnosis to tell you honestly which way we are heading — no blind quote.
I come to your home in Cluses to assess SATA hard drives, M.2 / NVMe SSDs, USB sticks and SD cards.
Types of recovery I handle
- Logical recovery: deleted file, formatted partition, lost partition after reinstall, RAW state
- SATA hard drive that still boots but is slow or has bad sectors (cloning before recovery)
- M.2 / NVMe SSD invisible — recovery via USB enclosure or adapter
- USB stick / SD card unreadable, corrupted FAT/exFAT table
- Migration of the data to a new healthy drive (NAS, external SSD)

- R-Studio (advanced NTFS / APFS / ext4 recovery)
- DMDE for low-level analysis
- Cloning tools (ddrescue, HDClone) for tired drives
Recovery is done on a copy: I never touch your original drive without a safety clone first.
Flat rate from € 120
The data recovery flat rate starts at € 120 and covers:
- Free on-site diagnosis
- Honest assessment of recovery odds
- Logical recovery on the cloned image
- Migration to a new drive provided by you or by me
For heavier cases (heavily damaged drive), time-based rate (€ 80/h) discussed before each additional hour.
When a clean-room lab is required
If the disk clicks mechanically, no longer spins or has an electronic fault (short circuit, surge), only a specialised lab can help (rates: € 500 to 2500 depending on complexity). I point you to a trusted French partner and help seal the drive for shipping.
My on-site diagnosis stays free in that case — you only pay if you decide to go further.
